Default TPMS mystery, does f-type have antennas?

Hello everyone, I have a big TPMS puzzle. I bought a car from the USA. It had a minor collision while still in the US and was repaired there. When the car arrived, the TPMS system worked correctly, reading pressures, etc. I changed the wheels to another set with sensors, and the TPMS stopped working. I changed the wheels back, but the system still doesn't work. I removed the front bumper and found that I don't have the front TPMS antennas, and the wiring harness going to the bumper is damaged. I purchased a paid Topix subscription, but all the diagrams show only wires for the pedestrian and parking sensors going to the bumper. There are no wires for the TPMS antennas there. In my car, there are 6 broken wires leading to the bumper harness, and their colors match the Topix diagram as wires for the parking sensors. The TPMS system diagram in Topix shows a module and two receivers. Is it possible that the F-Type doesn't need antennas in the bumper? Does anyone have any knowledge on this subject?

Here’s a link to the workshop manual, which seems to be inconsistent in regards to TPMS antennas. Searching for ‘TPMS’ yields the procedure to remove the front bumper cover, which shows what appear to be TPMS antennas. But the section on TPMS in “Tires and wheels” says the TPM module in the middle of the car talks to all the sensors directly.

It looks like you're right. That would explain why the sensors worked before. I'll order another set of sensors and replace them.

I think it needs antennae. Otherwise how does it know which wheel is which?

If you’re replacing wheel sensors, make sure you get the right frequency. The Jag documentation is wrong for early years, they put the wrong frequency in mine. They installed 433MHz but mine required 315MHz. There’s a TPMS thread here that discusses this.

When I changed my wheels, I opted for aftermarket replacement sensors and they took a few days to become recognized by the module. I though at first, I had ordered the wrong ones as well but it just took some time to become active.
