TPMS tools
I've already read every TPMS thread on here from the last 5 years but still find myself stuck.
I've been dealing with the TPMS light with my winter wheels on for 2 seasons now and am about to throw in the towel. The dealer wants $150 per sensor to replace which is insane and installation labor on top of that. I've been to quite a few tire shops but haven't made any progress. At my last service, the dealer put it in relearn mode and like the many times before it the warning came back 15 mins later on the drive home. My VIN is well past the starting point for the 433Mhz sensors and scanners can read them, none are in parked mode, show the correct frequency and pressure and show plenty of battery life. When I put on the original wheels with the sensors that came on the car the warning disappears and everything's back to normal. The original wheels are 433 also which I confirmed by bringing one along to compare.
The sensors installed in these are the OEM GX631A159AA only I bought them from a third party and not Jaguar directly.
Are there any tools (like an OBD reader, bluetooth or dedicated unit) that can help troubleshoot this? The handheld readers for the sensors themselves are quite expensive so I'd just swing by a tire shop if I needed serial numbers or something like that, but I'd love to know what the car thinks the problem is. It seems like it it's an all or nothing when it comes to the sensors so it won't show any readings on the tire info screen. In another thread someone called out the Tire Rack sensors working fine, but my fear is I'd buy them only to find the problem continues and I still have no clue what the actual issue is.
Discount Tire sells programmable sensors now but they were unable to get their tool to program one for my '17 for some reason so that idea went out the window.
I'm open to just about any option at this point just short of the outrageously priced dealer option but would love to know what the problem is before throwing more money at it. For all I know this could be a matter of manually programming the serial numbers into the car and it's done.

There are 433 MHz sensors and there are 433 MHz sensors. I am not certain of the technology, but around VIN K27000, the F-Type went from one 433mHz technology to another. You should be able to get universal 433 MHz sensors that will work on either mode for around $35-40 each. Those are probably what TireRack sells.
Thanks, that's what I'm thinking. My VIN is somewhere north of 40000 so I didn't expect it to be this difficult but here we are. If I don't find anything by Monday that might be the next step.
My B-I-L is a manager at a Mavis tire center and he says their equipment can identify and program anything. (He says they have two types of programmer units). These things are 'kits' the size of large brief cases.
I would go to a local tire store (after explaining the issue with things done, so far) and have them work on the issue. If Tire Rack can provide proper sensors, they should be able to get them, too.

I've visited 3 different tire shops (a couple times for some of them) and it's been a mixed bag of results. The programmable kind sold at Discount Tire (Schrader) are still almost 3x the cost of the Tire Rack sensors a few people have had success with for the 433 MHz units. They also couldn't get it to take the programming as a test when I visited last but who knows what the root of that problem is. If it had worked I would've done it on the spot and called it finished.
