Default Tuning video for F Type R sports car

Hello Guys,
take a look at this video. How are they tuning this engine. What is it that they removed from the engine bay, is it the entire ECU ? Is this the preferred method to do an engine tune?

They removed the ECU and bench tuned it and then put it on a Dyno. Second question will cause all sorts of debate. Technically if you have a very knowledgeable tuner n your platform (rare), and they can tune and adjust while datalogging and testing on a dyno, they can dial it in optimally. Conversely, flash tunes that are more standardized are flashed through a flash device or PC through the OBDII port. These are usually (note usually) safe and there are more tests/examples of them in the market....So if they are safe, and no cars are blowing up, you are probably safe to use them also.

With the live tuning on the Dyno...If they do not know what they are doing, the results can be catastrophic.

780 nm != 780 ft lbs.

it’s about 575 ft lbs when converted.
