Hello again everyone!

Im looking to replace the tweeters in my F Type R, those seem to produce a truly horrendous noise when listening to Music like Russian Christmas music.

I plan on buying a full set of speakers from a XF with the B&W Kevlar cones, so that it is OEM plug and play.


My question: can I replace just the tweeters right now without taking the door panel off completely? I plan on swapping the rest over this spring.

 

door panels have to come off as the tweeter housing is atttached to the door card and needs to be changed from the back

 

Are you sure its the tweeters that are causing the distortion and not the source material or the audio system itself?

I have the Meridian system and it clearly sounds weird. The Bluetooth is not great, XM sounds terrible, FM is not great either. CD's sound better.

 

I have been using Bluetooth. It sounds like it’s trying to play bass through the Tweeters
