Default Ultra Blue F-Type SVR Interior Stitching

I am trying to find the color code of the blue-ish stitching in my Ultra Blue F-Type SVR. Does anyone know how what it is or how to find out what it is? I have contacted my local Jaguar dealership here in Dallas but all they can tell me is the same thing I can find on Google. Reims Blue Stitching but that's actually pretty generic. I thought about talking to someone at Jaguar USA but I am on hold forever. I am looking to get some matching blue stitch done on my seats and door panels but having no luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

A really good interior shop should be able to find it.

I wish it were that easy man. I have been to 4 different upholstery shops in Dallas and each one has their own brands, colors, materials, etc and none of them has been able to get an exact color match. They have no way of knowing the color code of the thread unless I can give that to them or supply them with at least who the manufacture of the thread is. I was able to reach Jaguar USA and they said that they will have to email someone overseas. I am still waiting to hear back from someone.

Yes sir. I stopped at N-Sydez-Out in Garland, ASM in Dallas who then referred me to Sunny Sewing Machine who then referred me to City Sewing Machine. Not as easy as it looks when you have to color match existing color piping and threading. Who knew it would be this hard? I wish Jaguar made it easier to give this type of information out but unfortunately, I have heard that they sometimes keep it between them and their supplier unless a Jaguar owner or shop really needs it.

Attempting to find a colour match by the name given to the colour is a losing proposition, there is no standardization of name and colour apart from the simple red, blue, tan, cream….One manufacturer can call a certain colour “Reims Blue” but another might call is “Azure Blue”, another “Sky Blue”…..even though they may be identical.

Unfortunately, nobody was able to get me the name of the thread color. I believe they found the manufacturer but not even Jaguar USA was willing to help.

Your best bet it to try to specify the Pantone color. If you have a large enough stitched section in the car, there are Pantone colorwheels/books you can compare.

I tried 3 different upholstery places and a Jaguar certified collision center and nobody was able to match the color thread nor were they able to find out the name of the thread color or who makes it.

Step 1: Define the Pantone color in the car now.
Step 2: Find a vendor that can supply that Pantone color thread.

You need to do Step 1. Here is a lead on Step 2: https://www.madeirausa.com/pantone-color-match/

The "name" of the color is irrelevant, it's just an arbitrary name that likely changes with model years. Pantone is a calibrated color program you can use in any industry to match colors.

There's a forum here that is allegedly monitored by Jaguar Customer Care (though they haven't posted in a couple of years.) Might worth a shot to see if they can assist somehow...
