like your cell phone once and a while you get a software update for fixes new task etc , this video is just to show how to do the update. A 5min job , i had alot of request to show how to do it
The latest update gives you a reboot button if you hold the nav button for 3 seconds ,and a few other things

 

The last firmware update I did fixed a bug where banners did not work when pressing them in CarPlay. Has there been a new update?

 

Just ignore the memory card and adapter rubbish in the video. You can of course use a USB drive. Apparently the smaller the better and formatted in FAT32 and empty. He was just doing that to get to the microUSB connection which you can do with any adapter.
Also there are several different updates. Depending on which one you need the last one requires attaching to the microUSB update port on the unit so opening up the dash again.
The update from August can be done through the standard USB connection from the unit. Decide which version you need as the latest only adds compatibility with the 360 cameras over and above the August firmware I believe

 

If that was the case I would have used a USB, alot of units from unique auto cannot use a usb,that s, why the company asked me to make a video for you guys ,if you run into problems updating,and it is not rubbish trying to help others,
