V6 coolant pipes
Late 2018 model year builds had the updated coolant pipes. I don't think the exact date is known though when JLR started installing them. Best to check. My May 2017 build MY 2018 has the seamed pipes.
I have a 17 S AWD coupe and I just updated all the original 2 piece seemed plastic pipes to Aluminum and even new water pump with new aluminum water pump to oil cooler pipe. No leaks prior to doing so. AND NOW THE BLOODY THING IS LEAKING!!!!!! AARRRRRGGGGGGGHH.
Thats annoying, can you tell where its leaking from? If you have time part numbers and sources would be useful. Especially if you have a defective part so I'm able to avoid that manufacture.

Seems like many are experiencing leaks after the aluminum conversion coming from the small connection pipe that goes from the water pump to the oil cooler. Some have reopened everything and gone back to plastic for just that small pipe. I guess I got lucky when I did mine and the alum. one worked for me. When I do jobs like this one I'm meticulous using O-Ring lubricant on all rubber seals. I find this little extra step can make a difference in the way O-rings seal up.

I think that is likely the cause of my leak so im hoping they can get in there and replace that with OEM plastic without having to do more then take the water pump off, intake pipes, and such.
