Yes, there is one missing comparison, which is the base car (no active) sound before resonator removal . That's the one I'd like to hear along side the V6S and with the resonator removed on the base car.

The problem with these videos is they often don't closely approximate what the human ear hears.

I thought about that but figured it was a bit a mute point cause if you have a base car then you already know what it sounds like. lol.

True, but after watching the videos, to me, my base sounds most like the V6S in your video with a bit deeper, less raspy tone. I'm sure it's a function of whatever recording device you used.

Its definitely how its recorded. I had a coworker do a flyby..its borderline exotic car sounding.

If you're pleased, I'm inclined to believe it sounds very good. I guess the nice thing about it is that it's possible to reverse the process for very little time and money. There's no risk here.

Thanks again for documenting the results.

Quite possible,as Shift said, often times these videos are very subjective...

It sounds like you get more of the popping, however the deep tone has gone to a higher pitch, borderline raspy

+1. As I suggested in an earlier post, if you want loud, with a rich resonant sound, keep the resonator and toss the muffler.

It would be interestign to see what happens when you delete the resonator on the V8.

My favorite exhaust - the capristo - on the V8R - sounds superb. The Capristo also has no resonator.

I think it sounds pretty good and if I had the base F Type I would do this without question. Thanks for the review and videos.

Hello, quick question, I love how this sounds and am very interested in doing the same to mine however I have a v6s with the active exhaust. Did it throw any codes on your dash ?

This thread is nearly 3 years old; WhiteTardis has sold his car, though it's possible he might drop by. You could try sending him a PM.

Going to bump this old thread. Has anyone else done this? Or has anyone removed their muffler and can vouch that is is actually deeper as opposed to raspy?
