Default V8 Catless Down Pipes for Sale / Trade

Hi all,

Have a set of V8 Catless down pipes for sale or trade. Looking to go to the 200 cell ones. It is LOUD. Like, louder than any of my other cars. If youre interested, let me know and we can work something out.

it is loud, just got mine back on the ground. i may be sourcing a good set of 200 cells to put on them. but overall the temp of the engine bay dropped dramatically at least during my test runs.

Are there any high flow cats that won't trigger a cel?
I'd like highflow cats just for the temp drop, but don't want to tune, so don't want to throw a cel / emissions light. Got enough lights on my dash with TPMS light (no sensors).

That’s a tall order. Don’t think it’s possible.

I reckon if you talk to Stuart or Chris at VAP they can do a special tune for you that does nothing but prevent a CEL being thrown with high flow cats.
It would probably still trigger the "non-standard tune" flag and still cost you a bit, but worth asking.

That they can do, but probably doesn’t meet Gibbo’s “no tune” requirement.

FWIW, I think the CEL you get with cat issues is just a "soft" one. The car doesn't really care, and performance shouldn't suffer. It'll just light the dash. I guess it'll have issues passing inspection though with the CEL.

Anyone ever try using an O2 sensor spacer? A friend of mine used one on his TT to get rid of a cel from a 200 cell cat, curious if it would help...

i had a "cat inefficient" code for about 6 months after the new engine, no performance issues. From what i have read, its a bad idea to use a spacer on cars that use the rear o2 for fuel trim.
