Default Vap tvs2300

Have now got this installed with all the necessary extras and am ready to start datalogging so Vap can check and send me the final Map
i already have their stage 3 package

Even without the final map this supercharger is night and day compared to the original
boost comes in early and propels you into licence loss territory
this is in normal driving mode/no sport or sport plus just plain day to day mode and it’s still awesome
combined with the gearbox tune it’s is a different animal

Thanks to Vap for taking the time to research before coming to the market
Xtra thanks to Stuart who I constantly stalked when I was waiting

if you’re looking for next level power for the f type this is it
And imho this could easily achieve 800bhp with a forged internals

Impressive.

I am truly in all of your engine bay, thanks for sharing.

How much did all the plumbing cost - sorry to be so bold but I'd love to copy that...it is awesome.

I did it all myself but it’s really just braided ptfe and fittings so not a huge cost
this will be my oil filter with a welded take of for oil pressure and oil temp guages the gauge pod is due to covered in alcantara

The fi interchiller is a 100% game changer the temps are barely above ambient
let me know when you do it I can save you some agro
get the pwa400 pump from fi interchiller it’s awesome

@Gasman2 This is next-level!

How often are you using methanol now with the FI Interchiller? Are having both running overkill for daily spirited driving?

@Therock88 believed the methanol spray was also washing the intake valves in addition to lowering IAT - do you agree?

I am way short of any kind of expert
Is Mine overkill…..probably
do I have very low iat…….yes
i listen to what the experts say and then use a bit of common sense and then adapt to cover as many bases as possible

I do all this as a hobby and tbh your average twin pulley set up is fine as the ecu will just pull timing if temps are to high

the tvs2300 and vap gearbox tune is a great combo I am just making sure fuel and intake temp are under control

water meth is an easier installation than the fi interchiller but having. Ice cold water cooling your charge coolers all the time and then water meth when on boost is a great combo

Please do keep this thread updated with progress as I’m surprised there isn’t much being posted as to results/issues/feedback with the TVS 2300 thus far. I have a VAP stg 3 L494 and am looking at the TVS 2300 next. I’m keen to see what boost these setups end up pushing and suspect it is close to the limits of the stock block. As/when you get to final datalogs, would be good to see the data! From memory I’m currently at 15 psi peak and do have headroom in the low pressure pump side as I’ve already done the fuel pump booster module mod.

I am just waiting on the carbon intake to go with my water meth and then will send some datalogs off to Chris to get the final map
what I will say is it is a total game changer as I have done a couple of limited pulls not even at full rpm and in third the boost is instant
reason for limited feedback is the parts for the full kit were held up du the intake needed to be reworked before production so atm no one has the full kit
tbh I wouldn’t be at all surprised to find live mapping and 800 would be obtainable

Yeah, I’ve worked with Chris at VAP quite a bit to iron out some mapping issues to get mine running right, and I think the TCU tune really unlocks the off the line acceleration potential. Even with no brake boosting I’ve clocked 0-60mph in 3.64 (inc 1 ft rollout, 3.28s without 1 ft rollout) which is silly for a 2300kg large SUV with no launch control or even brake boosting. I’m more nervous of damaging the ZF8H70 trans to be honest as opposed to popping the engine. But my datalogging is showing torque of 870nm already, so it’s hard to get a feel for what the TVS 2300 will give. VAP don’t currently support it on the Range Rovers yet, but promise to get around to it at some point. I have my supercharged cover already modified for x8 port water meth although haven’t fitted a system just yet. It sounds like you’re planning to push your 2300 upgrade as far as VAP will allow - I think so far 750hp is the highest reported, so 800 would be a record I think. Best of luck with it, will watch 5his closely!

Because the Vap map has to cover a multitude of temp variations regards heat in say Texas or Dubai down to very cold climates then the map has to have a built in safety margin
High intake temps are the killer to power and causing ignition retard to prevent knock
if you heavily focus on the coldest iat you can this is what will give you the power
You could tune this engine to 1000bhp but the ecu would say no way Jose and retard ignition accordingly
same with boost doesn’t matter how much u produce the bleed off again is there to say I don’t think so
my Iat readings are only ever a couple of degrees above ambient and that’s without water meth
these figures are directly from the ecu via the obd port and a Banks guage
i don’t think Chris believes me about my iat
i am running a fi interchiller stage 2 and totally separate water supply and reservoir
that’s my return reservoir with ice on it after it’s been through the charge coolers
this is sitting in my garage with zero airflow through the air con condenser

Have you gotten an update on the intake delivery date? It’s back ordered for me as well plus the tensioner and vacuum pump kit. Hoping this isn’t a a multi month wait.
