Yeah I get that and here’s my point. The Ecu tune itself cost $995. The pulley that comes with the tune is $1995. Well I understand a lot of research and time went into these tunes which make them valuable, the tuner box itself is also a very expensive component. So I get the ecu tune now, and pay $995. With it I get the tuner box and map file. Next year I get the pulley and pay $1995. With it I get the pulley... and another pricey tuner box. See where I’m going with this?

If you get the VAP ECU tune today, you'd pay $995. If you later get the VAP pulley, you only pay for the "VAP pulley price" and you get the "VAP pulley & and VAP pulley tune" together. If you buy some off brand non-VAP pulley, I don't know if they will give you their pulley tune for free. Basically, if you stick with VAP products, they make it all good no matter if you buy if all together or piece it together over time.

I guess that’s part of my question, as there’s no price listed for the pulley only. It comes as a package. But I appreciate the feedback.

They sell the V6 and v8 crank pulley by itself too.

https://www.velocityap.com/products/...ategory=jaguar

They also sell the tune only for V6 too. Weird thing is they say its for the base V6 and don't mention V6S but it should be the same since you have to send the original ECU file to them to edit.

Yep, great products but their web site is a little all over the shop and can easily cause some confusion.

It appears that they redesigned the web site since the last time I was there about 2 years ago. Looks like they left a few things out or changed the marketing strategy for F-Type tuning products.

I believe we currently have separate listings for all the different configurations, but with the new website we are working on configuring the tuning options slightly differently to show the different tune + pulley options as variations of the same product.

I don't *believe* we dropped any tuning products from the FType lineup. Is there something specific you're looking for?

I would already have the tuner..
If you purchase the crank pulley from us, or one of our dealers we supply an updated tune at no extra charge.

What model do you have? I can post the link for the correct product.

Hi Stuart, quick question but seriously thinking of having the crank pulley done which obviously means i'll get a new map put on.
At the moment with what i have done its making about an extra 75-80 bhp, how much more roughly will i get with the crank pulley.
Thanks
Tim

Stuart, what drive train losses are you using for AWD and RWD to arrive at BHP? Or alternatively, what WHP are you seeing for AWD and RWD?

For which car, on which dyno?

Stuart, this is the second or third time it has happened to me, but when I click on your link I am taken to the Scuderia Autoart main page (for those who may not know Scuderia are the Australian distributors for VAP, and maybe for other countries as well).
Then, when I put in my car details (F-Type S V6) it comes up with this page: https://www.scuderia-autoart.com/pro...280kw-2995ccm/
As you can see, nothing but intakes, coilovers and spacers and no hint of any tunes or pulleys.
Is this a glitch that effects only Oz residents or is it more widespread?

We are working on some geofencing solutions with our new website for our regional distributors. For Australia we have appointed Scuderia as our exclusive distributor. I think in the end it will allow you to view the products on our website but will not allow checkout to Australian addresses. It's a little tricky because we still need to allow our dealer to order their parts from their IP.

We are also updating some product listings and converting some of the products to variable products to make the presentation a little easier to understand, at which point we'll be pushing some Ecomm data to Scuderia to upload into their system.

If you'd like to order something, send me an email and I can connect you with them directly.

The car we tested, on the specific dyno we used exhibited 15.64% drivetrain loss.
