A number of people had blown engines due to bad tunes. VAP and Eurotoys sold a buch of these, others you will be taking trailblazer risks.

Intake mod is a waste if all you are going to do is pulley and a tune. People tried this already, no gains in power. Considering that it is hidden from view, you won't even get the look.

Plus make sure that your intake mod doesn't end up a "K&N hot engine bay intake" mod, as this will make SC heat issues substantially worse. SC needs cold air intake, especially if you increase boost with a pulley mod.

I'll be doing it for primarily sound reasons, to remove resinators.

What I would like to know if anyone tried to port supercharger on F-type. Is it worthwhile?

It was done once before by a former member and he claimed it was worth while. He currently has the fasted N/A 1/4th mile time at 11.02, so i'd believe it.

F-type uses Eaton TVS R1320 on the V6, and TVS R1900 on the V8.

You can port and polish for a better flow and coat rotor for better thermal protection.

Doing some web search on porting Eaton TVS, it seems like a mixed bag. By itself, without any other tunes it should reduce SC power consumption. However, potentially, when done with other porting and mods it could help safely increase boost.

Also, sts-v, make sure you are aware that F-type does not warn you of low engine oil conditions. Considering that tuned car is more likely to experience blow-by when pushed, I recommend you a) install catch can and check it b) check engine oil level regularly c) change your engine oil a lot more often than factory schedule.

Thanks for your advice. Anyone ever installed a catch can on one of these?

Yep, I have one and I was surprised at the amount of oil it picks up... there is an old thread called catch can or oil can..or whatever.

Something to keep in mind on this platform compared to your Cadillac is that we will never have the amount of aftermarket support you're used to. So far we've only had one person in the tens and he had to port the S/C and add nitrous/drag slicks to get there; on top of full VAP mods. Outside of that myself and another AWD R member have been the closest at 11.3X. The other member claims to have been stock but haven't seen him around much.

Ive constantly (albeit slowly) been working with VAP to fine tune my engine and try to get to that 10.9 mark. But have constantly been running into little issues such as grip level and cat temps that have prevented me from getting any closer.
11.37 @ 123mph was me, but my motor was fried in the process due to oil starvation. I'm 100% stock though. Haven't been here much since they've basically had my car hostage for 100 days aka 3 1/3 months (4 more days til it's officially 3 months).

Anyone know of a company in or around Los Angeles that can port the TVS 1900?

I've used both Steigmeyer and Pace Performance on my TVS' before with good results.

he advises picking one or the other because 20PSI will require 100% functioning of coil packs, injectors & plugs and in high temperature environments even then intermittent misfires are possible due to heat soak unless you upgrade the charge cooling system - which isnt available yet to my knowledge
Coming from the CTS-V, what is your opinion on water/meth injection? I know a lot people on the CTS-V boards use W/M injection with success.

I'd rather do E85 w/ a flex fuel sensor over water / meth. Too many variables and risk to blow your engine, plus its a hassle to refill meth every week. I got to 640rwhp without e85/meth/nos, which I was beyond happy with. Meth or E85 would have picked up 85-100 on top of that. I usually DD or enjoy my car so I diddnt want the hassle for the extra 80HP or whatever. Same reason I dont use it on my raptor.

I prefer to build constant power, all time gains with no hassle (same reason I dont use NOS.) But if you were considering, I'd do E85, then meth, then nitrous in that order.
