Default VelocityAP ZF8HP70 Transmission Tuning (TCU)

Happy Friday Everyone. Very happy to launch this product as I know many of you have been waiting for it. We've recently signed a contract with our local airport to rent the runway for high speed testing so will be demonstrating some before & after video & figures soon as well.

It's delivered via HP Tuners, so if you already have an MPVI2 or know someone who does, you don't need to pick one up at the time of purchase. Otherwise we can also provide you with one:

Hi Stuart

I get told the MPV12 isn't available and it removes it from my cart.

Do we need an updated VAP ECU tune with this ?

Thanks!

Should be working now. Strange because it's already been purchased a couple times and none of the Ecomm settings changed but I think we found something to make it work again while we wait on our web guy!

You don't *need* an updated tune, but the RPM limit increase won't work unless you do both TCU and ECU.

When's the testing happening? Certainly interested in anything that can break me into the 10s!

Sorry what I meant was, if we already have a tune from you, does it need another update from Chris ? Is that chargeable ?

Stuart, is the tune delectable to a dealer? I am wondering if it leaves the non-oem calibration code in the TCM. The tune sounds like a great idea, just don't want any warranty issues.

You don't *need* an update to the tune, however for the RPM limit increase part of the TCU Tuning to work, you would need your ECU Tune updated as well. There's no charge from VAP to update ECU Tuning files, as long as it is to integrate one of our products, purchased from us or one of our dealers.

We advise everyone to assume that tuning is detectable all the time. It may not be, but assume that it is.

FYI, all. HP Tuners requires a MPVI2 device which costs $299.99 and will require 8 credits for the ECM tune and 4 credits for the TCM tune. The credits costs $50 per credit. So to tune the ECM will cost $400 and $200 for the TCM.

To answer the actual question, the VAP tunes are indeed delectable.

Even if you do, you cannot tell anyone - No Dream Killing!! - Looking forward to hearing more about the results - I am considering an out of warranty VAP pulley and tunes just to make the car slightly more ridiculous.

At the moment we are increasing by 200RPM. Any time you push for more performance you can accelerate wear rate on your components, but we feel this is still pretty safe.
