After much deliberation whether or not to buy-out my 2017 lease, buy an LC 500 or countless other scenarios I pulled the trigger on a 2021. This car marks my third F Type, following an IRR 2015 S, Ammonite 2017 R and now (reportedly) the newly mixed color of BRG. Speaking of the color, on the showroom floor the color was very dark boarding almost black. However, in the sunlight it takes on an entirely different "brighter" .appearance. I have only driven a few miles so I cannot comment just yet on the extra HP or the new suspension. I will share that in retrospect, I'm extremely pleased with my and decision!

First of all -- congrats on your new baby!
I find myself in this same predicament. The lease of my 2018 R Dynamic is coming up in a few months -- the bigger issue I have is that mine has the third pedal and whether I look at new 2021s or even used F-types, I find myself asking whether I am ever going to be happy with an automatic versus a manual. Even when I started to look for manual alternatives, I'm having a hard time justifying buying any of these when the F-type just has such a timeless look to it. There was talk of the Supra potentially coming out in a manual version -- but even a new Supra would cost more than the buy out of my F-type and I still think the Ftype is a better looking car than the Supra.....
I have to bring in my F-type for a service issue so maybe I'll take a look at the showroom to see if the 2021 entices me at all.....
Nice! And congratulations. My wife was only willing to trade her BRG F Pace S on the SVR if it was the same color. There's a lot of depth in that color.

Thanks for letting me share...

I leased and as a returning customer was eligible for the $750 discount on the two first payments. The dealer only had one as such, I negotiated a "reasonable" $3,000 discount. However, the first dealer I spoke with, who also had one only offered a $500 discount. There are so few on the market, I believe getting $3K was fair. At the end of the day, I decided that haggling over a few dollars a month is a waist of energy. My new mantra, given pandemics and riots, each day is a gift so live it to the fullest...
I agree, the few I have seen in BRG regardless of the model year look alike. I was referring to an article I read from CarBuzz that wrote the following...
"Jaguar also pointed out to CarBuzz that it has brought back British Racing Green as an available color for the 2021 F-Type. "It's a new green as well. We really want is to give it new lease of life," Najafi says. "It's actually got much more travel, so it's not as flat as it was. It's really dark in the shadows, almost black, but then in the lights, it is a very vibrant green."
Coming from the MY17 R (my current lease) how would you compare the MY17 exhaust tune to your new 2021 ? I wouldn’t mind the machine gun on overrun being tamed a bit, but hopefully not totally declawed. Also, is the so called “quiet start” user selectable so I can choose what days I want to wake the neighbors up?

That makes sense now. It probably is the same BRG as earlier models. I believe BRG was deleted as a regular color option for One or two model years.

To your question, my wife commented, "this car is not anywhere near as loud as your 2017...!" I did switch over to dynamic today and the notes sounded a bit more well mannered but damn mean at the same time. I can get some pops and crackles however not as exaggerated as the 2017. I can definitely feel the extra 25 HP (now at 575) and with the wider tires and reworked suspension, it appears to handle quite nicely. As for the loud exhaust at start up, no longer the case and I'll say amen to that!

thnk you for the feedback. Apparently, there is a setting where you can decide if you want a quiet or loud startup.

I don't know about the '21 F Type, but our '17 & '20 F Paces were identical and exactly as described in the quote.
