wanting a SUV to complete my British Car lineage and compliment my F Type....
Turns out my 2000 Range Rover is no good anymore and the money to fix it is not worth the vehicle. I have had a G wagon before and a H1 Wagon, etc. I would like to stay with the all British vehicle theme to compliment my XJ and F Type. What do you guys think of an old school right hand drive Defender 110? Modern day muscle with the red coupe r and a straight up old school tank in the 110
I think they do stock refurbs as well. They do nice work. I know them. They are the only place certified to build Shelby cars in Canada. The link you gave is nice too
That one looks amazing and is a very tasteful and superb restoration that honors the stock tradition. It's also very close to me . . . you better hurry (kidding).
Went 'green laning' in the south of England many years ago (late 80's) - couple of the guys brought long wheel base land rovers (I guess 110 Defenders). They got stuck in the mud so often we literally CARRIED those things most of the way...
I think the Aussies say 'if you want to go to the Outback, take a Land Rover, if you want to come back, take a Land Cruiser'

That applied to the pre-1985 FJ-4x series LC. Those were a UV rather than a modern SUV primarily built for the extreme terrain of soccer field parking lots.
The Bentley is too frou-frou, the new MY2013 Range Rover too curvy and effeminate. I saw an old Defender a week ago just like the one in your photo and the thing really turned heads!! My non-car-guy friend was the first to notice and said to me.."wow so cool I didn't know it's a Land Rover".
I struck a deal with the gentleman I mentioned before, I am having a black one rebuilt from ground up.... no custom mods, will just have that nice clean stock look. Looking forward to it, currently in this stage of production
Oh. As I drive to work, most mornings the LandRover Driving Experience convoy is heading the other way. Currently a mix of Freelanders and Evoques, with the odd RangeRover.

Well done. What engine/trans does it have?
PS. Saw a sweet deep red one today in London, Ontario. Also RHD.
