Default Wear potential

I would imagine that I am not the only one who has gotten into the habit of placing my right hand [LHD version] on the center consul piece that extends from just right of the hard buttons on the video screen down to and reinserting into the consul at the level of the shift control.

Since I've only had my MY 2018 for a bit over a year and have not put on a great deal of miles, I am wondering if this "hand brace" has a tendency to wear significantly over time. If that's the case, it's a habit I need to break. Thanks!

I'm 6'3" with long arms and I have never grabbed the Jesus bar. Just not a natural position for me.

I rest my hand on it a bit, Had the car since 2016, not showing any wear. The leather on the top of the door though is showing a shiny dimple where I rest my elbow.

Always rest my hand there. No wear issues.
