Weird Start Up Sound? (Check Engine Light is ON)

Weird Start Up Sound?
Never had any issues with my FType (2015 V6 Base)
I hop in to start up and get this weird crank sound, and once it’s on the idle is incredibly off, sounds terrible.
immediately the check engine light turned on.
I took it to Jaguar, and they sent me and I quote
“Gas Pedal Assembly and Harness Overlay to PCM and from Pedal Assembly $1,719.1”
What do you guys think? Any suspicions? Not covered under Jaguar extended warranty and my own personal extended warranty. Kinda funny..
any expertise or ideas is appreciated.
