I've accepted the V6 is a relatively noisy engine (dealer claims we just have noisy injectors). However, every rime I turn off the car there is a "clunk" sound that the dealer says is normal. Anyone else with a V6 experience this? My warranty will expire mid 2021 so I just to make sure I take advantage of it.

 

That is the tell tale sign (sound) of a worn SC coupler / torsion isolator, search this forum using those terms and you will find heaps of info about it.
Yes it is a warranty fix.

 

Mine does the same thing, since day 1. Dealer says its normal as well. 3 years and 35,000km later, still does it almost every time I turn it off
I have a service booked for next month and will ask them about it again

 

Mine doesn't make any weird noises or clunks. I don't think its a loud engine at all.

 

No clunk from mine.

Relax it is an air pump thing. Weird but my xe and wife’s velar do the same. Sc v6

 

No clunk on my 2017 xe r-sport. What is an "air pump"?

 

I'm guessing he is referring to the supercharger which put simply is an air pump!
