Water Pump/Coolant Issues?
Hey all,
Recently purchased a 2017 XE 35t AWD with 29k miles. I am wondering if the water pump/coolant leaks are still an issue for the V6/V8 engines. We had a 2012 XF Supercharged where the water pump started to go at 40k miles. Still have a 2014 XFR and luckily that one is still purring smoothly.
Considering I plan to VAP pulley + tune, I want to make sure I get on a preemptive maintenance schedule to avoid a cooked engine from one of the plastic pipes failing on me. I've read a good amount of posts regarding this topic on the F-Type sub-forum, however, I'm not sure who's having issues with 2014MY+ vs 2017MY+. I guess most XE's are still low mileage but wanted to get some feedback in case anyone has experienced those issues.

I have a 2017 XE 35t R-sport, since I purchased it off a lease several months ago, ive been having alot of issues with the coolant. The vehicle has had a complete engine replace after those plastic pipes cracked. After only having the vehicle for a week the same issue of "low coolant" is occurring. These cars still have the same issues
Howdy XE Friends..
With the same aj126 engine, my '17 XF has had some coolant loss as well.
Several TSB's exist for pumps & pipes & thermostat housings, etc..
Our '17's should all still be under the 60k warranty so please let us know what your dealer service team advises.
My annual visit is Oct 6th and they will pressure test my system.
Great v6 engines in great cars but My God can't Jaguar get the cooling straight?
