Default What to do with factory wheels/tires?

So I purchased my F type R 2nd hand and it just happened to come with some very cool HRE wheels, which I love and can't imagine ever wanting to remove.

It also came with the factory wheels sitting in boxes. 20" blade wheels with carbon fiber "inserts". Also have a set of Pirelli tires to fit, 295/30/20 and 255/35/20.

I guess if I keep my car long enough to be a collector item (unlikely), or resell perhaps the new owner would want them? Still long to time store these things.

So my next thought was to sell them on ebay. I saw some crazy high prices for factory wheels. This legit? Sell as a set, or individually? Maybe sell the set with tires to someone with a base model?

Anyone sold their factory wheels?

While Blade wheels may divide opinion, it will be easier to find a buyer for the car with them fitted.

But, it'll also be easier to find a buyer for the Blade wheels than it will for the wheels that are currently on there.

So...

If you're never selling the car, sell the Blade wheels.

If you are going to sell at some reasonably foreseeable point, keep them and work them into the deal.

If you are going to sell the car in a year or two keep them and sell the car with them as it'll be relatively easy to sell the HREs.
If you'll be holding on to the car for a good while then sell them here or on eBay/Craigslist.
Assuming they are in good shape and with the pirellis they should fetch at least 3k or so...

Very nice looking ride you have there! Do you know what it is lowered on? Size of the HRE's?

I am looking for a set of factory wheels. The base wheels aren't doing it for me. That said, not looking if a crazy high price 😉

For the best price, place an ongoing ad on Ebay for each wheel individually.

When people badly damage a wheel and need a replacement NOW they will pay crazy prices for them. $1200 each for the Carbon OEM rims wouldn't be out of line for the eventual buyers.

Or sell all for 1/2 that amount.

I wouldn't store them for a future sale scenario. If the HREs don't command a small premium in the future just buy replacement OEM wheels to the buyer's liking.

I have these on my car and looked them up out of idle curiosity.

As a purchase option they were $4,500.

Jaguar wants $1,390 each for them.

I saw a used front one on ebay for $799 shipping included.

The Jaguar part number is T2R3290

Chawumba - What ever happened to the wheels? You sell them or keeping them?

Sold mine. Had lots of interest. Darn things were heavy, so local pickup is better than trying to box, pallet and ship cross country. But if you do need to ship wheels and tires, look into Fastenal - they ship store to store for better rates than UPS or Fed Ex.
