What other cars' exhaust sounds as good?
As I posted yesterday, just took delivery of my F Type R. I have been driving it nonstop the last 2 days. Nothing has brought a smile to my face more than that exhaust note. The crackles and pops are unlike anything else I've experienced. But that got me thinking...what other cars sound as good? Anything out there stock, even if more expensive?

any aventador with sports exhaust, loud and shoot flames, the new Huracan evo also has a great stock exhaust and like the AV, shoots flames ( I like flames btw) old W204 C63 sounds amazing stock as well. I think the GT3 is the best sounding modern 6 but stock its a little quiet for me but once you start modifying it I think its the best. the Alfa Romeo QV in race mode is also very loud and gnarly sounding, really unique sound and much better then the s55 in the m3/4. 458 speciale sounds pretty great stock much better then the new 488 pista. new supra sounds really good stock. F-type in 6/8 form is definitly one of the best sounding stock cars especially the 6 with the active exhaust, but imo only after its hot, when the car isn't really warmed up like 30-45 minutes of hard driving, that when it sounds truly amazing, first 10-20 minutes it's way too raspy for me. I do wish the pops and exhaust was a bit louder though.

It's pretty subjective, and while I so like those V12s and V6s, they're just different. That Alpha was like Formula 1! Beautiful sound to my ears. My '88 5.0 Mustang didn't sound as good to me as my 5.0 Jag. Ducati Diavel is so obnoxiously wonderful and it has some serious decel pops on it. Maybe that's why I'm so hooked on the F Type?

I actually had the w204 C63 until 2018. It sounded great, especially at startup. But yeah, after driving that for 3 years and this for 2 days, I feel like it isn't even a contest. The C63 never crackled and popped like this.

Maserati GranTurismo. You don't expect that incredible Ferrari sound to come out of that GT car. I almost bought one just because it sounded so damn good. Too good, actually. No car has any business sounding that good.
I love the sound of my F-Type. It checks all kinds of boxes and brings out my inner 16 year old, but that 4.7 Ferrari V8....so refined and yet a bit brash. It just does it.

My '72 De Tomaso Pantera with a built 351C engine is even louder than the F-type and crackles almost as much if not more. But you may be thinking of something more modern. I went for a spirited run through the Santa Monica Mountains out to Malibu, yesterday, with about a dozen other enthusiasts, and after I got home I started getting texts from about half of them (who had never seen nor heard the car) about how incredible it sounded and how much fun it was driving behind it. Someday, I'll get around to getting a GoPro and film it with a sound clip.

You can't mention the LFA without posting a video! (skip to 11:47 for the exhaust note)
