Default What is this wire for?

I popped open the boot looked under the cover at the battery area and noticed a plug wasn't connected? I have a 16, S,AWD, Convert, where should this go and what is it for?

Don't let it bother you. I have the same unused connector. Probably for some option we don't have.

Au Contraire, gentlemen:

That plug will unlock depths in your car never before imagined.

After plugging in that very cable in my own car...

my speakers stopped rattling,
my base 380hp dyno'd at 425,
my brakes turned carbon,
my wheels got lighter giving me more unsprung weight,
my bulkhead recovered from seatback dents,
my rear tires gripped better,
my exhaust tips turned red,
my vanity mirror no longer fogs up on hot days,
and lastly, my windshield washer fluid nozzles began to **** liquid gold.

Plug it back in right away guys. You'll not know what you've missed.

If it's anything like the same wire on the XF and XJ, it's for the dealer to connect to and complete the pre-delivery programming and set-up of the car. So pretty much "use once and forget".
