My wife and I are in the process of building a house on the SW Pacific coast of Nicaragua, just a mile from some of the best surfing in the world. Although I am planning on spending a great deal of time there, my wife loves to travel, so she will be off flitting around the globe with her family and friends.
I am planning on selling my F Type and buying a Toyota Hilux, a workhorse PU, although unavailable in North America, is incredibly popular in the ROW. It is basically a Tacoma which is stripped of its luxury and beefed-up to render it as one of the most bullet-proof vehicles ever made. It's diesel engine is legendary as the first 100,000km is affectionately known as its "break-in" period. They are serious off-road vehicles in their 4x4 trim and that's what I'll need it as our house is way up high [130m] and the roads are gravel [and it seriously rains there].
A '18 [the same year as my F Type] Hilux with 150,000km in Nicaragua is MORE expensive than a '18 F Type [with just a fraction of the mileage] in NA. That's what a F Type is really worth! The view of the Pacific Ocean from my patio.
Hardly surprising the F-Type doesn't hold its value considering the real practicality of the Hilux in Central America vs a six-year old sports car restricted to the paved roads in urban areas like Managua. Don't get me wrong, its a great car, but in a country with such a wealth gap between rich and poor, most of the wealthy people will get something brand new. Enjoy your new life.

Of course, but I was comparing the value of a Hilux in Central America v. the value of my F Type in California. I wouldn't think there are any F Types in Nicaragua as there are no dealers [but who knows?]. Toyota's are everywhere there [for good reason].
My work is split between Adelaide South Australia (f type) and Nhulunbuy Northern Territory (hilux). When I’m in Nhulunbuy I often miss driving my F type but when in Adelaide I never miss my hilux.

What year Hilux do you have and how is it holding up?
I really like my F Type a lot, as well, but when it comes to exchanging it for cash money...it is anything but priceless.
There is, of course, a dollar amount that would pull it away, and there are plenty of cars that are more valuable. But, for shear driving/ownership pleasure (disregarding cash value), there just isn't much I'd swap for. My son has a pair of GT3's that will certainly outrun the F-Type (and cost many times as much), but I'd rather drive the Jag.

Yeah I am a bit the same. Mine might be worth AUD90K tops, but the colour and configuration and RWD is exactly what I want (well I would take a later 2015/2016 build RWD R in the same colour if I could find one, no luck there). I would turf it from the garage if I was given a DBS superleggara which would cost over $500K here and in that case I wouldnt be so picky about the colour, but I wouldnt feel any desire to have and keep anything else. So I guess in one sense, the car is worth $500K to me, that being the cost of something that wouldnt have me regretting the change.

Hilux is work supplied. It has about 80,000km on it. Lower spec - not workmate level but not SR5 either.
it is an older shape I think about 2020?
it drives very well. Plenty of pull and no issues with it.
My work site is 30km from town on variable dirt roads and I have complete confidence in the car.
f type is a 2017 v6 with 45,000 on the clock. It loves a curve and fits a few bottles of wine with the overnight bags in the boot. It’s too much fun to drive. It’s also my daily in winter and a very comfortable place to be when in traffic,
