Default Where to find Carbon Fiber Mirror covers

Hi,

I recently had my carbon fiber mirror covers stolen off my 2017 F-Type SVR so I am trying to find replacements. The Jaguar dealership said that they have the right side, but that the left side has been discontinued for some reason. The online Jaguar parts website also says the same thing. They have the right side in stock ( and only $179 ), but no way to get the left side.

Does anybody know where the best place would be to find replacements, either OEM or aftermarket? All the ones I am seeing seem to be made to go over your existing covers. None of them have the little hooks on the inside which hold it in place. Given that I don't have any covers atm, those would not work. I definitely want the carbon fiber ones again though.

Any help finding them would be appreciated. I am in the US, but ordering international would be fine.

John

To be honest your in for a hunt. Here is the deal. They quit making carbon fiber accessories awile back cor the f type. Then they drastically lowered rhe price and eveybody gobbled them up for about 70% off. I got hood and fender vents and mirrors during that period. The problem was like you said the warehouse only had one side( cant remember which one). I got it and found the other side OEM brand new on EBAY. So I got lucky. I just found one of the last OEM carbon fiber diffusers left, .it took me a year to find it new OEM...it was in Lithuania. Now if you are lucky to find new OEM carbon pieces they are bring a fortune again...but most everything is about sold. I wanted to stay all OEM so everything matches. And the warehouse will have the one side for a long time, becaue the other side is non existent

yeah, it’s been a hunt already. I could buy the one they do have ( the right ), but I have no guarantee that I’ll ever be able to find the left.

if anybody comes across an OEM left cover ( or both ) it would be much appreciated to share it here.

I’m considering maybe just buying the regular mirror covers and then buying buying the carbon fiber shells which are all over that you adhere to the regular ones. I just don’t know how they end up looking and if you can tell they aren’t the OEM ones or not.

I've got those shells on my mustang. They are actually pretty good, but if you go down that path I would recommend plastidipping your existing mirrors black first (unless your car is black already) as a touch of the original colour will show through at the edges.

I got mine as deeply discounted NOS, and the place I got them no longer has them listed. Sorry. I just checked. The aftermarket and eBay suggestions above seem like your best bet.

Another option might be to use OEM standard covers and wrap them before installation. Check out Chris from CKWraps (
) regarding the TinyBot Vinyl Gloss 6D Carbon Fiber Black (https://tinybotvinyl.com/products/gloss-6d-carbon-fiber) product he focuses on in that video.

I have seen them for up $1200 on ebay. If you could get a OEM set that matches the other OEM carbon patterns on your car, I would jump on those( still auper cheap from 2 yrs ago)... this might be your last chance. All carbon looks different so if you want to match take that into consideration. And rhen you don't have to hassle about wrap going bad or cheap carbon fading
