Anyone know where I can find used engines or rebuilt/remanufactured engines for a jaguar ftype?

looked at car-part, ebay etc... salvage shops by me. Any other ideas?

For a car with such a small yearly production, you'll struggle to find any firms that rebuild them for stock. Your best bet is to find a used engine from a breaker. These will be out of crashed cars where the repair cost exceeds the value of the car. Of course you have to be very aware of the pitfalls, so only engines from reputable breakers, and a car of known mileage. I've neve had to do this, but here in the UK the Jaguar specialists tend to know the "right" suppliers. It may be the same in the US. I'm assuming that's where you live. If not tell us.

 

I've read that Jaguar doesn't supply internal engine parts so only they will do rebuilds.

 

In the US, hard to say without checking. On the one hand, F-types are few and far between, so presumably demand is low, equating to lower prices. On the other hand it could be argued that because there are few, that makes them "rare", allowing higher prices. I honestly couldn't guess which is right without looking into it further... that's on you, the OP.
