Don't know if you could hear a vacuum leak from the active exhaust.

Same here, MY19.5 Coupe. Comes on when the car is turned on and can hear it, but without engine start. With the engine running I would need bionic hearing to pick up the sound. There are two round vents in the rear wall behind the seats toward the center of that wall. I can feel a very slight movement of air from the vents into the cabin. Where it is being pulled from I have no idea. I assumed that the cabin was tight enough that some source of fresh air was needed if the HVAC was not turned on.

i do have bionic ears.... it's a blessing and a curse.
My initial thought was , it is coming from the locations you mentioned... but I tracked it to the back of the seat... when the seat heater is turned on it seems to blow air out from the back of the seat and thus causing the white noise sound.
speaking of bionic ears it doesn't take one to heqr how bad the stereo is in this vehicle. the mids and highs are just not good enough. ..Shame ..its an easy one to get right in this day and age.

Maybe my hearing is not so bad, I can hear the seat heater fan when the engine is running. As far as the other fan that I described - bit of a mystery, but its there. As for the sound system, agreed. I have to keep the bass set low to get rid of the rattle and not turn the volume up very high. More of a soft background setting as I'm enjoying all of the other sounds that emanate from the car.

Those of you hearing the white noise, do you also have cooled seats. On the 2016, no noise. I thought I just had heating coils in the seats.

No white noise here (hear?).
My MY2015 coupe has heated seats but no seat cooling and I'm pretty sure there was no such thing on any F-Type until (I think) MY2018.
I also do not have the round vents behind the seats that F-Envy mentions.

Makes sense. Only reason to have a seat fan is if the seat is also cooled.

Yes actually mine has cooled seats... while I had the heated seat turned on I could feel ambient temperature air coming from back the of the seat itself..... I will try to take a picture.

Yeah, AIUI the heated seats use electric pads, while the heated and cooled ones use Peltier cells and fans.

Had to look that up. Never too old to learn! Edit: That article below shows how to determine the life:

TECs have limited life time. Their health strength can be measured by the change of their AC resistance (ACR). When a TEC gets "old" or worn out, the ACR will increase.

Just to follow-up, these are the two round vents in the rear bulkhead of the cabin (seats and seat backs full forward). I was able to determine (smoke from a match) that the airflow is into the vents, so they are exhausting the cabin. Again, the sound of the fan is very slight, and comes on as soon as either of the doors are opened. How long it remains on after shutdown or doors closing I do not know.
