YouTubers rages about F-type - over dead battery
Some people. Supposed cur guy buys 2014 F-type to rent out on Turo. His battery goes dead due OBD tracker he used. So he makes "Will Never Buy A Jaguar Again" video. Then trades it in (different video) at at $10K+ loss.
@Normal Guy Supercar If you are reading this - your startup smoke was due to injectors. F-types are not known for head gasket failure. You traded it in for no good reason.

I know this guy. He lives in Austin, and is in a car club with a buddy of mine. He's actually a decent dude. Fixes up old Ferrari's, but does a total hack job. If he'd spent 1/2 the time on his F-Type that he did on his F430, he'd still be enjoying it today. Fail.

I know, right? Maybe it is all YouTube clickbait, and he didn't actually do something THAT stupid, but wholesale trade-in a convertible in the middle of the winter is about the worst way to get rid of a car. Doing it this way he would have lost money on any car, even selling his grandpa's all-original Shelby Cobra would be at a loss.

Thank, for the post. Now I know how to open the door if batt is dead. LOL. The dealer gave me a batt charger that plugs on the cigarette lighter..Maybe I should take out of trunk in case I need it. :-)
Will that even work since the socket is ignition switched? I think the preferred way is to use the underhood boost terminals.
Yeah I know Daniel as well. Met him a couple times when the elite club he's in meets up. Some of his rants don't make too much sense. He needs to stick to ferrari. He bought the car specifically to rent it out, I highly doubted he did as much maintenance to it as he did to his Ferrari.
Both "cigarette lighter" sockets (the one in center stack and the one in arm rest) are switched by the accessory/ignition. They are dead when the car is off. Doesn't seem like you could charge from that location.
