Default 05 Jag s type Relay R6

Hi All, I bought a 2005 Jaguar s-type 3.0 Base model, naturally aspirated. I also own 2004 same as the '05
was hoping if someone can inform me on the engine compartment fuse box. Relay R6 Now I'm aware that
the Driver's Handbook says that the R6 is not used, and my '04 does not use it. But for some unexplained reason this '05
is using it and appears to be factory done, it;s not taking the place of any other Relay in the fuse box.
I tested it and it has one 12v power, on pin 86, pins,87,87a,and 30 showing Grounds. but pin 85 does nothing. with key/on or engine running.
reason why I am checking fuses and Relays because there are certain things not functioning, i can open trunk though key trunk release, and
through using key on the trunk itself. but the trunk release on dash won't function at all all fuses related to this function are all good.
also steering column wont lock when vehicle is turned off..
I got a New xtool 9pro as a gift from my wife for x-mas being that my old Snap On Verus went bad on me, and needless to say Snap on
offers no assistance what so ever. but for some other reason this Brand New xtool D9Pro purchased through Amazon appears to have some very serious malfunctions but that's another story altogether. My main reason for asking for some assistance is because of that R6 Relay. trying to
see why it's there. and if it's causing certain issues. I'm not a tech, although through many years of repairing my own Vehicles and also watching
perhaps 1000's of Video's on Youtube throughout the years I haven't needed to spend lots of moneys through repairs. .So all this being said I would really appreciate any assistance and information the can point me in a good direction. Thanks so much. and have a Save and Happy Holiday Season to all. Lee,

Hey Thanks so much, for your help and quick response, the Handbook shows it "Not Use" . I appreciate it..
there no better place than JaguarForom.com

Is there anything that you can perhaps tell me about the Steering lock that doesn't engage,
or the trunk lid not functioning through the Dash switch next to the Gas door switch ? Thanks again.

The Steering wheel not locking, and trunk lid not opening is due to Valet mode.? So how would I go to disengaging the Valet Mode.?
Thank you for your assistance.

The North American X200, X202 and X350 don't have column locks.

Thanks JagV8 I'd enter the vehicle information that you requested, also the trunk lid issue has been resolved.
Only issue left is the Steering wheel not locking when ignition is turned off. If you can assist me with that?
Thank you for all your help. Appreciate it.

You should not even have a steering wheel lock?
Are you sure the car has one?

That's what motorcarman is trying to say. Your S-Type is an X200.
