Default 2014 XJL cd changer

I've recently purchased a gorgeous 2014 XJL and am wondering about an issue. The center screen mentions a CD changer option available, however, I can find no changer in the trunk(boot). Was this option listed on all the cars screens, or is mine just missing?. When I press the selection, it responds that the CD changer is empty. .If so, can I buy a used unit and install it myself without too much hassle. I'm a retired master electrician, so it shouldn't be too much of a job for me, but I'm unsure of how to proceed. Thank you in advance for any helpful replies. Bearly

Default cd changer

I've recently purchased a beautiful 2014 XJL Portofolio, and am wondering something. My vehicle shows the navigation on the center screen, however, I'm lead to believe that this was installed along with a CD changer. I've searched my trunk(boot) and can find no changer. My audio screen mentions that the CD changer is empty, so I'm thinking it must be somewhere, but?. Thanks for any helpful replies. Bearly

On the X351, the slot below the Menu and Phone buttons is where the discs are inserted one at a time.

This is from the 2013 Owners handbook?

So it looks like 10 CD's worth of storage.
It mentions DVD's which I did not know would play on the factory system?

Thanks for the information, however, I'm unsure as to how load several CDs into the "virtual" store you mentioned. As my vehicle did not include a user manual with it, I cannot ascertain what the procedure would be. Can you advise?. Thanks, Bear.

At the top of each forum are "stickies". These contain stuff we want to be on top and available at all times. Lots of great stuff the moderators have put up there.
There is a "Handbook Download" at the top of the XJ (X351) forum?
Hand Book

There will be some errors in it and it appears Jaguar did not take much care to change things as the car changed so be ready for that.
