Default Aj-v8 rebuild document request(usa technicians)?

I understand because of the freedom of information in the USA, there is a Jaguar technician manual on the rebuild of the AJ-V8.

I'm in the UK and no such document is openly available, although there are rumours from independent Jaguar specialists that it can be sourced from the USA.

I've trawled thru the GTR site, with not much info.

I'm in the process of rebuilding a 4lt AJ27 V8 S/C engine, I have ordered all genuine Jaguar bearings, chains, rings, guides and tensioners at great expense, and would love to rebuild it to correct torque settings. Even knowing which way round the pistons go would help! I marked them with a stamp to number each, but now 9 months after stripping, I'm stumped.

I would happily pay for the information.

Well, this is interesting... is it available to curious Americans too?

Also, try the Useful Links FAQ in the XK8/XKR section

From around page 96, might be of help.
