Can't remove tire!

So I got a flat tire on the highway today. Thought I can change this tire no problem. Got the tire and jack out, jacked the car using the appropriate mounting spot and removed the lug nuts. Tire will not come off. After doing research I am not sure if it is because of the locking lug nuts? I can not find any special tool that I hear mentioned. What does this tool look like? If my car does not gave it (I searched everywhere in the trunk wheel carpartment) how do I get a replacement? Any help would be appreciated. My car is useless until I can figure this out.

The wheel is probably stuck on the hub....held fast by corrosion. Usually force....kicking, or beating with a hammer....will loosen it but that's a risky thing with nothing but the tire-changing jack holding the car up.
The other trick is to loosen (not remove) the nuts and then *slowly* drive the car in a figure-8. This will loosen the wheel. But, with a flat tire it obviously is not possible.
I think a tow to a repair shop might be in your future. Have them remove *all* the wheels, sand off the corrosion, and apply some grease to the mating surfaces of the wheels and the hus.

The "special tool" usually looks about the size of a lug nut itself. Something similiar to this...
Even Arnie Schwarzenegger could have trouble getting some Jaguar wheels off!
I suspect Doug has the answer that the wheel is stuck on the hub - it's a regular issue with aluminium wheel / steel hub combination and can take some serious hammering to free it.
I use a thin coat of anti-seize on the touching faces of mine to stop this happening. Land Rover dealers supply an aluminium based anti-seize (Zymol) which looks better than the usual copper based versions.

Graham, actually if a person was to check, JTIS states to do just that on wheel reassembly to the hub, being careful not to get it on the rotor or the wheel studs. Just sayin'
Alloy wheels sticking on hubs first occurred when the XJ saloons were first fitted with them, so this issue probably goes back to the 70s, but Jaguar only got round to putting a smear of Shell Retinax A grease on the hub and wheel faces in 1984.

Right, it's an age-old problem and not a Jaguar exclusive.
FWIW, ordinary wheel bearing grease does the job perfectly well. Anti-seize seems a bit rich for such a mundane task.....but, as the saying goes, "If ya got it, flaunt it"
