I can't say for all of them, but I've bought 1 CD and 1 Downloadbothclaimed to be JTISand neither was any good. That's just my experience though. I did manage to get a refund.
Now I'm waiting on a CD from Electronics Manuals Co. in the UK which costs slightly more than the other 2 but I'm hoping it will be what I'm looking for. We'll just have to see, it should be here in a few days. They e-mailed me that it had been posted. This one was not bought on E-bay.

You have to be careful on the CD's. There is the JTIS CD and a "supplemental" CD. The second covers what was left out of the first. These are the Jagaur versions. And, yes, they are both difficult to navigate.

The JTIS CD that I got from EBAY is very informative, but you must install the adobe acrobat reader version (albeit old...4.0 I think) otherwise, the DTC lists and electrical sections do not work. After you install the Adobe reader, you can change to the newest one, and it works. I've made copies for people if you want to give it a try. PM me.

Default RE: cd manuals (h20boy)

I just got my 2nd CD and not having any luck with it either. This one is from Electronic Manuals Co. in UK. I'm in communications with them so hoping we get the problems with it solved. This one cost the most.

Here's the problem I can open the CD but can not get it to Setup. The instructions are to double click the Setup.exe icon but the lable on the icon only identifies it as Setup Launcher and doesn't have the .exe on it. I even tried out of desperation to use Start/Run/Setup.exe, but again no luck.

h20boy are you sure on that Adobe 4.o version because I'm running 8.0 now.

I'm begining to think that all of these CD's and downloads are being made off the same source since they all seem to have problems.
So far I've tried 1 download and 2 CD's from 3 different vendorsand have not gotten 1 usable Workshop Manual. All 3 of these claimed to be the JTIS manual. I guess maybe we'll just have to wait the 10 years or whatever til Jaguar give the release for manuals to be printed aftermarket publishers.

BobN, just checked the CD, it's actually 3.01, but you can switch back to the newer reader after it is installed thru the 'open with' command in My Computer. Goofy, but it works.

Default RE: cd manuals (UPDATE ON ELECTRONIC MANUALS CD)

The company online rep working with me decided there was something wrong with the CD and told me to return it and they will send me a good one. All I can do is hope the replacement works. The CD they had sent didn't have a Setup.exe file for some reason.
It would be nice if all of these vendors would actually test their productsto make sure they worked before sending them out and wasting our time.
