Disappearing Select Edition Vehicles

Is it just me or have Jaguar dealerships greatly decreased the number of vehicles they are designating as Select Edition Vehicles? I’ve owned 3 Jaguar vehicles since 2002 and the last two I purchased had Select Edition coverage. Here in the East Coast I saw numerous Select Edition vehicles offered at Jaguar dealerships, but it seems this past year of the previously owned Jaguars offered for sale very few have the Select Edition designation. I see myself as a potential 4th Jaguar owner, but not

unless I can locate the vehicle I want with Select Edition
coverage, till then I’m sticking with my current cat.

its just you, but there are guidelines to when and if a vehicle can have a select ed warranty.

Hi Brutal: Thanks for your comments regarding the Select Edition inventory available. Maybe in Texas there is a larger selection of these vehicles, but here in Maryland where I live I have seen the availability of these vehicles diminish greatly. I check online regularly at various dealerships here and surrounding states and the number of these vehicles have greatly diminished in my area. I think it’s related to the economy. For example, my current XK8 had SE warranty; additionally the dealership provided loaner vehicles even if the repairs took just 2 hours. I can only imagine how much this impacted their profits. Now when I check out their SE vehicles sometimes there are none available, sometimes 2 or 3. Nothing like it was 2 or 3 years ago when they would have at least 10 or more Jaguars designated as Select Edition. They are located in VA.
