Default Emergency trunk key slot 2011 jaguar xjl

Hello all, can anyone help ?
I have a 2011 jaguar xjl and my battery is completely dead. Does anyone know where the emergency key slot to access the trunk is located.

It's not that easy. They didn't think the battery would ever go bad. You have to hook up power under the hood and then it should open up normally. The procedure is in the owner's manual I believe. Barring that you have to take the back seat out or something to get access to the emergency release. If you don't have the owner's manual it is available for download in a sticky post at the top of the X351 subforum. There was also a recent thread about that on the forum as well..

I don't think so GGG, it's on page 74 and 75 in the 2012 XJL Owner's manual. You have an emergency release handle inside the trunk that conveniently glows in the dark. Or you have to apply a 12 volt source under the hood to power the car. It cautions against trying to do it yourself or trying to start the car with power applied in that fashion.

Here's the owner's manual: https://www.mediafire.com/?s0cov83t87j2j

Here's the thread about it:https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/xj-x351-53/help-needed-opening-boot-179912/

If the thieves are stupid or there aren't many in your area, You could maybe loop a steel cable to the emergency release handle and route through a hole in the bottom of the trunk so all you have to do is reach under the car and pull it. I'd have to look at it to see if something like that could be done.
