Default Flush mount tire valves

A cry for help!

I have recently purchased an XJR100. It came with the standard 19inch Montreal BBS alloys - however they use flush mount tire valves and I did not get the screw in valve stem with the car.

I have called Jaguar USA and they say I need a Valve adaptor - my local Jag stockist can order one in for USD30.

Looking online similar things seem to actually cost USD3

Anyone have any info on flush mount valves and the stems that go with them?

Perhaps I should just get them swapped out for regular valves?

Rad, I have owned a vehicle with the flush mount valve stems. The big problem I had with them is the caps freezing to the base on the rim, making for checking of the tire pressure a bit hard to do. I would talk with a local tire shop and see what sort of options they have for you. The other option is to drive over to a local 4x4 shop and see what they have. This style of valve stem is more commonly found on 4x4 trucks since the valve stem can not be damaged while being hard on the vehicle and running who knows what into the rim. They may have something that will work for you. I would venture to guess a lot of the stems use the same basic thread pattern, which will make them pretty universal.

You can call BBS of America 800-422-7972 and order from them directly. I bought 2 valve adapters and a valve cap for $37. I think they sell the valve adapters only in pairs.

The part number looks to be HW0915074
