Ford tensioners for Jaguar???
I have not heard the results of the CSI comparison yet, either, but I used the Ford primary and secondary tensioners and chains and they were a perfect fit in both the '99 AJ26, and now the 2000 AJ27 installed in the '99 car. They seem to be working fine, although I am still working through the compatibility issues with the new engine and have not had it out for a good hard run. I don't suspect they will present a problem.
I gave them my vin number and I am under 80k and he said it would be 96.00 bucks to get it done. Im talking to another certain ford dealer employee about it also. I will find out more when I get back in town next week.
Does anyone know if the valve cover gaskets quoted earlier in this thread (see below) also fit the Jaguar 4.0?

Just thought I would pass along that I picked up the full Felpro Gasket set (FEL-PRO Part # VS50724R ) for the Lincoln LS, fully compatible with my 2001 XKR for $39.79 from Rockauto.com.
Quality and fit seem excellent. This includes both L & R valve cover gaskets, spark plug seals, and a full set of grommets. Pretty decent deal.

So far, I have seen a lot of info on changing out the secondary chain tensioners. Has anybody done the primary chain tensioners in the DIY fashion?
Particularly, I would like to know if I could just unbolt the old tensioners and put the new ones in their place without loosening the VVT, secondary chain sprocket, taking out the guides, using shims, etc.
If not, I suppose I will have to rent the timing tools off eBay.
Thanks.
