Intermittent chirping noise from rear......
Last month i replaced my Rear park brake pads. I use oem Textar pads. since then i have this intermittent chirping noise which i located are from my rear driver side wheel. This is only after a certain driving period and while driving only,,no brakes applied.
I guess its the pads, i know they have no shims on them. should i remove and clean the rotors. lubricate the back of the pads and other section that come in contact with the pads? like some anti squeal stuff maybe?
please let me know,,
Thanx!

I am a little confused as to which brake pads you have replaced.
I am also assuming an X300?????. In which case the "park brake" is shoes "inside" the rear rotors, but then you discuss the pad shims, which I know are for the primary brakes.
I have had this "chirp" over the years, and it is ALWAYS the wear lip on the rotor catching the square edge of the new pad. It will go away as the edge of the pad is "worn into submission" by the rotor, OR, take the pads out and file a chamfer on the outer edge of the pad, to allow a clearance of the wear lip, works every time for me.

Thannx for the reply. it is an X350 with brembo brake system.
the park brake pads are smaller than the primary pads, they work the same. But your suggestion makes sense as the inside of the pads were not chamfered.
i am going tomorow to have it checked oit. will keep everyonne informed.

Are you sure thus isn't the transmission chirp that its produced when the transmission switches to passing gear? I have that chirp, does not exist whole breaksare on either. That chirp also sounds like it comes from the rear, in fact its not. There are threads on this problem, as well as TSB's.
