Default Jaguar Special Tools

JTIS and factory Workshop Manuals are littered with references to Jaguar special tools.

Undoubtedly they make repairs easier and often safer but most of us DIY'ers have to find a workaround.

Often I've found it useful to know what a particular special tool looks like - it helps to find a suitable alternative. Getting information on special tools has always been difficult but the suppliers site has illustrations:

It also has some eye-ewatering prices!

This is the Quick Start Guide:

Good news is anyone can setup an account and place an order if there's something you've just got to have.

Graham

Graham that is interesting but for members of JCNA in North America they can loan tools from Tool Loan | Jaguar Clubs of North America. You can also look through all of the old tool catalogs on that site. A 501c3 has also been established which shares tools with JCNA or loans tools via patronage at https://www.coventryfoundation.org/. But for those who wish to purchase very expensive tools for a one time use in North America they go through this service. https://jaguar.service-solutions.com/ In any case it is all good information and thanks for sharing the UK link! I am told the Foundation is about to rec. a group of new in the crate Genrad machines that cover several decades. More to come.

Vee right you are but there are many generations. We have almost each version from an Epitest (Lucas) to the last version prior to the current one.

Very good and interesting.

I found this the other night, before this thread, and relate to it well, having owned and worked on waaaay too many Jags.

The added fact I am down here, just makes this list special.
