Default Making XJ8 power seat work in another car

I purchased a pair of 10 way power seats from a 2004 xj8 to put into a 1969 mustang. I am trying to power these up to move and the only thing I can get to work so far is the lumbar. I am thinking that there is some kind of safety that needs to be jumped that I am missing.

I have power to the main feed Brown/green and Brown/red as well as to the brown/green to the module

I have ground to the 2 Black wires at the main connector, and ground to the Black/pink going to the module.

If I check at the switch on the side of the seat, I have power at all the brown wires with a colored stripe, and I have ground at all of the black wires with or without a stripe. The seat wont move and does not make a sound, what am I missing?

Any help would be appreciated.

Tom

there maybe a trigger switch in the seat(like the xj40) so that the seat only becomes live when the driver is seated???(its also wired into the door entry switch!. I'd check with a wiring diagram for the relevant model

Figment, in your case, you only have a few of the wires that you need connected up. If you look, you should see a brown/red, a brown/white, and a brown/green wire. All 3 of these are power wires that need to be connected up.

Then for the grounds, it sounds like you got all 3 wires.

If you want the wiring diagrams for the seat, let me know and I will send the PDF file on the seats. Maybe then you can send power directly to each motor and see if you have a bad motor or if the switch assembly is toast.
