Default My 2004 VDP vs. my 2006 XKR question......

Hi everyone. I recently purchased a 2004 VDP, and I have had my XKR for over a year. My VDP IS FASTER during acceleration than my XKR. My XKR seems to be running ok, but I never hear the SC UNLESS I stomp on the gas, which I VERY RARELY DO. Could the metal vehicle weight difference be the possible NORMAL reason, or maybe I might have a SC problem? The XKR accelerates ok, but it is not a throw the head back feeling. The XKR to me feels so much heavier upon acceleration. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Figures for Europe cars are: -

XKR
0-62 - 5.2 seconds

XJ8 (non-SC)
0-62 - 6.3 seconds

XJ8 (SC)
0-62 - 6 seconds

Top speeds normally restricted to 155 mph (both cars)

So I suggest you do some stopwatch tests, but looks like your SC needs a little attention.
