Default SDD local vs Topix

Hi.

Is there anything to be gained by paying for Topix for a day to upgrade the modules in my 2004 X350 XJR?

Or is there a version that runs offline that has all the firmwares etc ready to go?

Apologies, SDD is still very new to me 😀

Any help greatly appreciated!

Will there even be any updates? Are there any you know you want?

Probably the TCM. Definitely the module that controls Entertainment as someone has fitted one from the wrong model, it thinks it's in an x400 or something, can't remember, so it'll definitely need reflashed.

Also need to recalibrate the ride height.

I am scared of bricking the car by using a dodgy version if SDD, but if you can point me to an offline version that can do what I need then please show me

Friendly suggestion for updates use only OEM sw + OEM interface, all other options are risky and sure good power supply, as some more serious battery charger.

I use version 131.1 and 145. Both have the files needed. 145 has less user input needed for car configuration
