Default Technical Mongoose Help

I am very much used to the BMW system. Go to the module and click update or reflash etc.

I am running IDS v131 which I purchased and then a mongoose cable. It works fine, reads the modules etc etc.

My only issue is how the hell do you do updates? I can't find my way into a specific module to reflash or update? Like the transmission software or the touch screen.

I'm not sure if it's a case of it's so simple I'm not seeing it or if it is that complicated!

First of all, the system behaves differently depending on vehicle year. So ... what model and year?

Note to those coming later, the OP is UK based so his model year will be one year ahead of US convention.

Such updates etc are normally not free for cars. Jaguar are the same. Purchase a TOPIx subscription and go right ahead.

The updates up to the date of release of the particular version get installed on the laptop.

The actual problem faced by moar is navigating to those sections in the interface.

OK, do the rather huge manuals on this site not have that information?

Bear in mind the tool's name; SDD, Symptom Driven Diagnostics.
Tools and applications are offered up in the interface based on their relevance to the symptoms selected. For instance, selecting Pwr Seat symptoms will not have tools for TPMS problems displayed generally.

Campaigns or bulletins will also have guides as to what symptoms to select to have the referenced update application displayed in the Recommendations Tab.

Cheers,
