Default XJR v Standard Engine: 2003 & 2004

Is the XJR Engine built "That much better" than the stadard V8?
I understand that it is super charged and puts out more torque and Hp. But I "assumed" that meant a different head configuration but the same guts inside.

Compression ratio is lower on the blown unit.

On at least the 4.2L version, only the SC versions have under piston oil squirters.

The heads are the same. The compression difference is in the piston dome. There are also materials differences in the pistons depending on model.
