New 2019 I-Pace Recall
My iPace is flagged for repurchase also; they wouldn’t even start the process until I had the software update done (limiting charge to 80%). They are telling you to charge the car outside, but most of us have installed our chargers at the front of the garage (because the charge port is in the front of the car). Therefore the charge cord isn’t long enough to charge the car outside! So the car is useless to me now, while I wait by the phone for the phone to ring (they’ve intentionally made it so you cannot call them to expedite the process).
It’s been a month since the recall/repurchase letter and two weeks since the software update and no word from Jaguar. I’ve read here that they are going to offer October Blue Book for the car. That would violate California’s Song Beverly Consumer Warranty Act (the state Lemon Law), which says they have to fix it (not practical here), give you an equivalent new car (not possible here), or refund all the money you’ve paid for the car. In my case that’s almost triple the Blue Book amount.
It will be interesting to see if they ignore the California statute. If so, I have a lawyer standing by to file suit; under the California statute, they also have to pay my attorney’s fees.

I got an extension cord for my Level-2 charger. This cord connects to the charging head, not the wall, to extend the charger's reach and may work to reach your car outside the garage. Something like this, which I just found on eBay (looks like the same one I got). 21' and around $180, but if it reaches far enough, at least you could use your car. Having nearly lost my house due to a lithium ion battery failure (around 20 years ago on an eBike) I tend to take these battery warnings seriously. Best of luck! https://www.ebay.com/itm/17696924548...bd9ed4e963956f
