Dyeing your leather interior
I have managed to keep my '88 Vanden Plas in pristine condition. With it never being in an accident and only 88,000 original miles I plan to have it for the rest of my life.It has always been garaged and covered maintaining the luster of the exterior paint. However the interior has shown wear, particularly the center console, armrest, and seats. What to do?.....well I found www.leathertech.com and was able toorder the exactcolor leatherdye for the car.You will find the color codeon the drivers door jam where the tire inflation information is posted. The interior now looks as new as the exterior, and I have plenty of dye left to do it again in 20 years. This is certainly the way to go....it's much cheaper than reupholstering and more traditional than seat covers.
Do not paint the leather, it will wear off quickly, crack, and you will be hard pressed to find an exact color match to your interior.

Leatherique is also a good supplier of automotive dyes. http://www.leatherique.com/
