Default Self Cutting Interior Carpet 1990 XJS

I have removed my interior carpet due to mildew. I am planning on cutting my own interior carpet to mold inside. Has anyone attempted to this? I think I'm going to buy the rolled carpet and padding and take my time and fit it to the interior. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

My only other option is Paul's in Florida....I think he quoted me a few hundred dollars.

Did you get around to trying this yet? I've read that home depot, as well as your average local auto interior trim shops, will offer the service of binding the edges once you have cut the carpet pieces.
