Does anyone know why the steering wheel would always come out sticky after cleaning and conditioning.I've tried several different leater cleaners/conditioners always with the same result . . . a sticky wheel.
Leather appears to be in excellent shape otherwise, no discoloration or scuffs. i will try posting this in the detailing section as well. thanks

 

I use Lexol dressing and the leather is just a bit tacky after its use, but in an hour or two it is dry to the touch.

 

I found that Autoglym Leather cleaner then conditioner worked fine. I used both sparingly.

 

If those don't work, try some Gum Out or something like that. It's an exterior cleaner (to clean off bugs, glue residue, tar, etc), but that's always worked for me. And you need to scrub it!! Years of hand grease build-up is a pain to get off.
