Default ECU tuning software 5.0 SC

I have a 2011 XKR 175 and instead of paying for a canned tune from one of the few that write tunes (at 10x the cost of normal tuners) I would rather spend the money to be able to have my local dyno tuner create a tune on the dyno that matches the local fuel and the mods I plan on doing to the car. My problem is finding which tuning software actually unlocks the the Jag ECU and will allow my tuner the most access to the parameters for fuel/ignition/cam timing/transmission/traction control/torque limiting/etc....
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You're going to be looking at a Kess V2 to read/write that ecu. winOLS for checksums (with the appropriate module). Even once you get the file, you then need to define it, and understand which maps do what. This isn't something even a very experienced tuner would be able to handle unless he was already familiar with the architecture of the ecu (if this were the case, I don't think this question would be being asked).

Just in tools alone, you're looking close to 5000USD to get into the ecu. By the time you manage to make the contacts to get the information you need to make sense of what you get out of the ecu, you likely could have bought another Jaguar.

Where are you located?

If you can get me the file from your ecu, that would be a good start.

I'm not talking about the factory updates, but rather the actual flash. Even a photo of your ecu would be helpful right now.

Can't you get the files from SDD/IDS? I did.

Most factory updates I've seen are data only and don't include bootrom. I'm not familiar enough with denso to know, so rather than chasing my tail, it'd be best to start with something I know is good.

Have it your own way and good luck. Why not just take the PCM apart?

I have the capabilities to read/write/modify my ecu. It's a 4.2. That's independent of what's being discussed here.

If you do get this capability (editing ECU) would you be able to get through glitches caused by such mods as changing gear ratios or adapting a manual transmission to an F-type? I would love to put the lower gears from the V6 into my v8s as a start.i have the electronic diff and the AWD v6 does have higher numeric ratio than what is in my car. Would be a beast with that gearset in the v8 but I am afraid of all the codes it might throw if I just swap the ring and pinion.

That is a very easy and straightforward proposition.

No problem.

Many thanks for the quick reply. I will check back in after I find the parts.

Sorry I haven't got any info on my ecu back to you yet. Work has picked up a little and I've been out of town quite a bit. When I get back I'll get what I can from the ecu to you. Thanks for the help.

F-type gearing and gearbox are defined in a CCF file. But you can't correctly edit it w/o an engineering code.
PM me if you want more information

I will keep in touch. Trying to locate part numbers for the hardware first.

Where did you find the ECU files in SDD?

Do you suggest it’s possible to manual swap the Automatic XF/XFR? I’m sure the physical swap itself is possible. But in terms of adapting the trans to work with the ECU?
