Default Are leaking valve seals a frequent issue?

I have a 2005 XJR with the 4.2 S/C engine. It has only 91,000 km. If it sits a few days, there is a puff of blue smoke upon startup. This would suggest either worn valve guides or leaking/failed valve seals.

Is this a frequent problem on these engines? What experiences have others had? Maybe the seals alone are the problem? I don't know what design of seals are used in this engine. Are guides typically wearing out at such low mileage?

I appreciate any input folks have.

I have mine stored for winter. I started it last week and let it run for about 20 minutes. I had a blueish water/oil discharge from the tail pipes. Is this normal after storage?

I have the same thing from time to time on my 2004 XJR with about 90K miles. I'm thinking it is related to the valve seals too. It seems to happen more if I had driven the car hard before parking it and letting it sit over night.
