I was looking to make my 04 x-type 3.0 faster. I read online about performance chips but apparently they're a waste of money because most ppl said they don't do anything. Do I have any other options or should I just leave my baby as she is.

 

X-Type will never be fast, but a few bolt on mods will "help" it out. You are right, the chips are a money trap. No good. The best you can do is exhaust, high flow CAI intake, better spark (plugs & coils) and that's about all. The best part is that all this stuff not only increases hp and tq, but MPG as well. (As long as you keep your foot out of it, lol)
